IT Operations & Infrastructure Hardening (Team Lead)
Led and executed organization-wide IT operations and infrastructure hardening to improve network stability, strengthen access control, and standardize device governance. The work covered network troubleshooting and tuning, NAS security restructuring, endpoint maintenance, peripheral deployment (printers/cameras), and the creation of operational documentation and security/backup recommendations to support long-term scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Network troubleshooting and performance tuning, including device audit and bandwidth allocation per usage.
- NAS administration: OS update, account lifecycle management, per-team folder structure, and least-privilege permissions.
- Password and access governance across infrastructure components (NAS, routers/mesh, printers, cameras).
- Endpoint support and maintenance: OS/driver updates, troubleshooting, software installation for teams.
- Infrastructure documentation: network topology, device naming convention, inventory tracking and reporting.
Key Outcomes
- Improved internet stability and reduced service interruptions through structured troubleshooting and network rebalancing.
- Established centralized access control and secure account management on the NAS with aligned security policies.
- Standardized device naming and inventory tracking, enabling clearer governance and faster support.
- Delivered recommendations for backup, antivirus coverage, and infrastructure organization to reduce operational risk.
Recommendations (Next Steps)
- Deploy a small network cabinet to organize NAS/UPS/router/DVR and prevent accidental disconnections.
- Introduce enterprise antivirus coverage for endpoints.
- Adopt a central server/service for DHCP/DNS/account management to reduce router load and improve control.
